Space-Time
The distance between the end of anything
And the beginning of something new
Is as minuscule or infinite
As the space it takes imagination —
An eye blink, a lifetime, eternity —
To acclimate to a strange place,
Make the unknown familiar,
Recognize that what operated a priori
Is persona non grata
And that yesterday, today, and tomorrow
Are light years apart or not,
Depending on the mind's ability to co-opt time.
