The Unrequited Love of a Superman

How is it physiologically, intellectually possible

That an unordinary superman, endowed with Kal-El powers,

Could fall, heels-over-head, for a domineering lady,

Lana Lang's doppelgänger, Lois Lane,

And demonstrate his full array of alien strengths,

Only to discover, after pursuing her for almost two years,

That she possessed sufficient forces

Not only capable of diminishing him to chopped-liver fodder

But delivering his spirit to Metropolis's dung heaps,

Marginalizing his deeds to cursory circus stunts?

Admittedly, he was totally flummoxed

To say how so handsome, muscle-bound a guy as he,

A man with such dash, panache, vigor, and vim,

Could have blown his mission so notoriously,

By failing to conceive a baby with Lana/Lois,

Leaving humankind no legacy of hope, peace.

Despite all his brilliance, prescience, clairvoyance,

He failed to see that Lois/Lana was, innately, a misandrist,

So sadistically vicious, in her disdain for male beings,

That she'd lobotomize him, with an ice pick, cut off his dick.
