Stalled between flights, Situated in a relativistically neutral confinement Characterized by benign timelessness, Waiting, aimlessly, to resume my peregrination, I meditate on the nature of intermediate places
And realize that this pause is a disguised boon, Reminding me of the benefits that accrue When we give routine the truncated shrift And conveniently forget all we've left behind, In those zones between betweens we all call home.
