Linda's Poem

When you're in love, you're invisible.

You're so totally focused, you require nothing —

No desires, no dreams, no needs,

Beyond the immediacy of your souls' being together.

Everybody, everything else disappears.

Love is the escape from yourself, into yourselves.

Love is the best thing that can happen to you.

Love pulls you out of your world, into your world.

Love asks nothing but complete allegiance,

Trusts that, for you and your love, there's "just us."

Everything, everybody else is superfluous.

Love looks through the dust of what was,

Beyond the breath of what is, the mist of what will be,

To the graceful shape of what love keeps secret.
