Voicing the Lord

While I fly, five billion miles silent, inside the sky's eye,

Breathing the benign light beyond my soaring spirit's sighs,

The entirety of paradise's breadth, depth, and height

Invites my soul to slow, for a few sweet, peaceful eternities,

Seeking repose, in the cosmos's serene eon-harmonies,

Or at least long enough to memorize the music of the spheres,

That I might bring its lyrics down to Earth,

On the tongue tip and quivering lips of my singing's epiphanies,

And share the salvific gifts of this celestial blessing,

With everyone yearning to hear the Lord's voice,

Being transposed from the score of His Word, in my verses.
