Hazardous to Your Health
Three times, in the recent past,
Atlantic City's city council has tried and failed
To vote out the exemption to the statewide ban
On smoking in public places.
Now, a New Jersey Senate committee
Is debating hammering the last nail in the coffin,
By rescinding the legislation
That permits smoking on 25 percent of a casino floor.
NJ's Casino Association's president, Joseph Corbo,
Warned that imposing such a law
"At this time of tremendous economic strife
And uncertainty for our industry would be very damaging."
