Air

When freedom exists between two loving people,

It's as ubiquitous and as invisible as air.

The pair shares a seamless sense of oneness,

An inarticulate spirit of completeness,

A parity of trust that it will always be there,

An inexhaustible, ever-renewing gift

Unconditionally generous — selflessness itself.

When two lovers stare into each other's lives

And see the air separating their beings

As indistinguishable from the light igniting their eyes,

Heightening their unanimity of vision,

Then everything in the kingdom of love is illuminated.

Their closeness approximates the coalescence of sky;

Eternity glows in their souls.
