A Sonnet with Linda in It
Knowing you, Linda,
As intimately as I now do,
I now know, intimately,
That affection and a generous spirit,
A heart dispensing charity and love,
Can heal a grieving soul,
Lead a lonely, broken waif
Through the darkest space of day,
Night's tormented emptiness,
To where an affinity with intimacy
Is as infinite as your fingertips' kiss,
As timeless as your whispering touch,
And daily existence, with you in it,
Is as eternal as our naked embrace.
